The ClimbIsOurStory is a program that will be facilitated by YesSheCanCampaign (YSCC) in partnership with GW Multicultural Student Services Center, GW Honey W. Nashman Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service, and School Without Walls. YesSheCanCampaign is a 501(c)(3) youth-led non-profit organization that uses live events and technology to provide educational resources and professional development to girls, young women and youth nationwide. The program will provide college and career readiness skills to School Without Walls high school students who participate in the GW Multicultural Student Services Center student internship program. This program is sponsored by the Knapp Fellowship for Entrepreneurial Service-Learning.
YesSheCanCampaign is looking for student leaders to assist in facilitating The Climb Is Our Story program. Location: Multicultural Student Services Center Requirements - Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at The George Washington University - Must be in good standing at the University - The position is a volunteer position - Time Commitment: Minimum 10 hours per week - Available: September 2019 - December 2019. Your position will be evaluated for the Spring Semester. - Must be available on Mondays + Wednesdays (1:45 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.) or Tuesdays + Thursdays (1:45 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.) If you have a class starting between 3:20 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. you are allowed to still apply. - All volunteers will receive volunteer hours or internship credit - All races, genders, and sexual orientations are welcome!
